Refugee Action has issued the following comment after three more deaths in the Channel overnight 10th September, following the death of a woman early on 9th September.

Tim Naor Hilton, Chief Executive of Refugee Action, said: 

“This is another heartbreaking yet totally avoidable tragedy. Our thoughts go out to the loved ones of the people who died, as well as refugee communities up and down the country. 

“Human beings will continue to die at the border until the government dismantles its hostile environment and creates safe routes for people who simply want a safe life for themselves and their children.”
